The most expensive burger in the world
was sold for $10,000 in Dubai at a charity auction. The selling burger
broke the record for the highest price paid for a burger in the world.
In
the ‘real’ world, nobody would pay $10,000 for a burger, but we know
that Dubai is the definition of luxury and opulence! The selling burger
broke the record for the highest price paid for a burger in the world as
it was bought during Pink Caravan’s Pink Bite breast cancer charity
event.
The
burger contained seven beef patties, one for each of the emirates in
the United Arab Emirates, aged cheddar cheese and veal bacon strips in a
saffron brioche bun. So, yeah no 24K gold leaves or anything else
exaggerative.
It was prepared by
the famous culinary director at Le Gourmet in Dubai’s Galeries
Lafayette, Russell Impiazzi and by a member of Qatar’s royal family,
Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Thani. The purpose of selling the most
expensive burger in the world was to raise enough money for a charity
during the Pink Caravan’s Pink Bite breast cancer charity event.
Two
years ago in Dubai, the world record was broken by another burger sold
for $7,000, but this year everybody wanted to show more. All money
raised in the charity event will go to breast cancer awareness and free
detection at an earlier stage.
